NASCAR All-Star

Did you see that All-Star race, y’all? Some great racin’, I tell ya. 180+mph in the TURNS. Just unbelievable.

I loved what they did with driver introductions. When they announced they would be doing a contest for it, I thought about submitting. But, I never got around to it. Maybe next time. Watching the excitement and enthusiasm on the faces of the fans that DID get to introduce their favorite driver, was awesome. Some were better than others, and a few brought tears to my eyes. I don’t know why, I just went with it.

I was VERY shocked to see Dale Jr. race his way into the All-Star race. I thought for sure it would be Truex Jr. Dale Jr. put on a good show once it started, though. Too bad he can’t run like that during a normal race. The All-Star race proved to me that Dale Jr. knows what he’s doing out on the track, he’s just not great at doing it.

Keselowski was fast! Kahne was fast! I teared up when I saw Biffle’s car fill with flames. Such a bummer.

Although I’m ROYALLY disappointed that Jimmie Johnson won the race, it was VERY cool that he drove R. Hendrick around on the side of his racecar. A deserving moment, and Jimmie was the perfect person to execute it.

Congrats to Jimmie Johnson and his team for sweeping the All-Star weekend!
