Dear Kyle Busch

Please don’t beat yourself up over today’s race. You were awesome. And led at two separate times. In true Kyle style. (smile.)

I place blame for you hitting the wall, on Matt Kenseth. But, when a tire goes down, the positioning of a racecar is often not where the driver wants it to be. I’m quite certain the #17 didn’t blow a tire and say I’m gonna plow into the #18 right now. You’ll see what I mean when you watch the replay.

I place blame for you coming back out onto the track with three wheels, on Dave Rogers. Us viewers were paying attention, and saw that you didn’t have lug nuts on your driver front. Crew members were hurrying to pick them up off the ground and put them on, but you drove off before the crew could tell the guy with the air hose. Had Dave simply mentioned something about that, you wouldn’t have lost all those positions. Hello Crew Chief. You’re supposed to be watching EVERYTHING. That’s your job!! (sad face.)

With all that being said, please don’t take your irritation out on anyone that isn’t deserving of it. I beg that you think about what you’re going to say before saying it. And don’t throw anything around. It’s unbecoming of a Hero to show his evil side. (Unless you’re a villain, then it’s acceptable. But you’re not. So don’t.)

Clearly, with only three races left, we know it’s going to be beyond difficult to come through and win this whole thing, but I will cheer you on no matter what happens. You’re only 57 points out.

Just remember to take a deep breath. :-)

Yours truly,

Val
