In Kentucky
- Buying a hat without your husband’s permission is prohibited.
- It is illegal to remarry the same man four times.
- It is illegal to transport an ice cream cone in your pocket.
- One may not dye a duckling blue and offer it for sale unless more than six are for sale.
- There’s a one year prison sentence for throwing tomatoes at public speakers.
I knew my home state could be a little wacky sometimes, but it is overall a nice place to live. Unfortunately, there are a fair number of nutty Kentuckians, and all too many of them are in governmental positions!
