Strange Facts

I started doing blogs about WEIRD LAWS in each state a few months back, and thought I’d start Strange Facts. So, pull up a chair, sit back, and read a few.

  1. The first pop video was Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, released in 1975.
  2. If you were to count continuously every moment of every day, it would take 31,688 years to count to one trillion.
  3. In a public bathroom, the stall which is closest to the door is usually the cleanest, because it’s the least used.
  4. The sun is not closer to the Earth in Summer. Earth’s tilt causes the Sun to be higher in the sky, which allows the rise in temp.
  5. “Jedi” is an official religion, with over 70,000 followers, in Australia.
  6. Saturn’s rings are 500,000 miles in circumference but only a foot deep.
  7. An apple is more efficient than a cup of coffee for keeping people awake in the morning.
  8. On the day The Wizard of Oz’s Judy Garland died, a tornado touched down in Kansas.
  9. “Dysania” is the state of finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning.
  10. Google’s name came from a typo.
