Across the street from my house, is a hill (picture above). Ever since moving into this house (1½ years ago), I’ve stared at this hill and often thought to myself, I’d love to climb you. I’d love to pack up a lunch basket and drag it, along with my lazy butt, to the top of the hill. I don’t know what you can see from there, but I’d like to find out.

I never was a girl scout, so proper precautions and safety measures are never taken into consideration when I plan to do something out of my element. When RJ was little, I made sure every precaution was taken for every situation imaginable, but now that children are not part of my everyday activities, I tend to leave important things out. For example: should I wear pants or can I wear shorts? Should I go in the early morning or the late afternoon? What about at night? I know the weather has a lot to do with snakes, so should I just avoid it altogether until summer has passed?

Anyone interested in a friendly climb? Lunch at the top of a hill, perhaps?
