In South Carolina
- If a man promises to marry an unmarried woman, the marriage must take place. Better be careful what you say in your sleep.
- It is illegal to sell paint on Sunday.
- Railroad companies may be held liable in some instances for scaring horses.
- Dance halls may not operate on Sundays.
- Musical instruments may not be sold on Sunday.
- It is considered an offense to get a tattoo.
- Horses may not be kept in bathtubs. Who does that??
- A permit must be obtained to fire a missile. You shouldn’t have any need to fire off a missile.
- It is illegal to give or receive oral sex in SC. I’m never moving there!!!
- It is perfectly legal to beat your wife on the court house steps on Sunday. What?
- A person must be eighteen years old to play a pinball machine.
- Every adult male must bring a rifle to church on Sunday in order to ward off Indian attacks.
Growing up, we went to Myrtle Beach, SC during the summer. On Sunday's you really couldnt buy anything due to what was called Blue Laws. They still have some alcohol retrictions there but most everything else has been relaxed. I think they legalized Tattoos 2 or three years ago.
