Nightmares Not Welcome

Nightmares are not something I welcome into my peaceful night of sleep, and when they occur night after night, they become even less welcomed. From dreams about RJ being kidnapped by a coworker, to being left at a county fair by LZ and Squid, being woke up can sometimes be a relief.

What is causing these nightmares? Why, six nights in a row, have I been woke up from a sound sleep with disturbing dreams that make me second guess whether I’m actually awake or not? This is not normal for me. I don’t usually have them, so why now?

Me and my nosiness went online to read about it today, and every single “cause” I read, didn’t exactly seem to fit the bill. A few seemed close, but not close enough to consider the actual cause of the nightmares. Grr @ this because I’m tired of losing sleep. It’s not like I get woke up from these scary dreams and then fall right back asleep. They keep me awake for longer than a few minutes, sometimes over an hour, while I lay there and think about them.

Anyone else experience chronic nightmares? What did you do to help them go away? I’m willing to try anything at this point.
