In North Carolina

  1. In Charlotte, women must have their bodies covered by at least 16 yards of cloth at all times.
  2. In Ashville, it is illegal to sneeze on city streets.
  3. It is illegal to take a deer swimming in water above its knees.
  4. No one may be a professional fortune teller, and if one wishes to pursue the practice as an amateur, it must be practiced in a school or church.
  5. It is illegal to serve alcohol at a bingo game.
  6. The mere possession of a lottery ticket is illegal in North Carolina and may result in a $2,000 fine.
  7. It is against the law to sing off key.
  8. Elephants may not be used to plow cotton fields.
  9. While having sex, you must stay in the missionary position and have the shades pulled.
  10. All couples staying overnight in a hotel must have a room with double beds that are at least two feet apart.
  11. It is illegal to have sex in a churchyard. (isn’t that the law everywhere?)
  12. Oral sex is considered a crime against nature. (I’m here to tell you it’s not.)
  13. Organizations may not hold their meetings while the members present are in costume.

  1. I don't even know how many times I've broken Number 7. I might have done Number 2 a time or two as well.

Is Number 1 applicable while said women are swimming or showering? Dang, NC must be one lousy place to be a woman.

  2. Well seeing how I live in NC I can profess they dont enforce Number 1 at all. I dare say you couldnt find 16 yards of cloth on 2o women in 1 room most times.

You shuld never shoot anything swimming.

They sell lottery tickets here now for 2 years but it was illegal to possess them before.

It is illegal to possess fireworks that pop or shoot.

#8 must be true cause I've never seen an elephant plowing here.

Liquor at Bingo? Heck Bingo is illegal most places if they pay out and some counties are still dry.

Its still a great place to live for men and women.

  3. My sister graduated college and up and moved to NC a few years ago. She was there a year before coming back. (all job related) She loved it there. My ex bro-in-law lived there while in the Army. He hated it.

I have that same relationship with Cali. Sometimes I love living here. Some I don't.
