Welcome to my life, Carl’s Jr.

I have never been fond of Carl’s Jr. There’s just something about their food that gives me the chills. The moment I think about eating it, I get that throw-up-in-my-mouth feeling. Icky.

When I was a youngster, as a special treat, my mom used to take LZ and I to Pioneer Chicken (now known as Popeye’s). My most favoritest thing to get was their hand breaded chicken strips. They were to absolutely die for. Mmm.

After seeing the commercials for the new breaded chicken strips at Carl’s Jr., my curiosity got the better of me. I just had to stop by and pick some up. So here I sit, chicken strip dipped in honey mustard sauce in one hand, and typing ever so quickly with the other, reminiscing about the years I enjoyed eating fast food.

  1. Thanks for the comment on my blog! I had to come over and say hey-there-hi-there-ho-there. Way to get back in touch with your inner-childhood. And through chicken? Brilliant. :)

  2. Chicken. Ya. Tell me about it. And I don't feel any guilt about having gone back once more to get it since having written this post. :-)

  3. I love Carl's Jr.'s chicken strips. I usually eat them with the honey mustard but last time I got the gravy. So yummy!

    Funny post!
