Weird Laws – In Arizona

In Arizona:

  1. In Tucson, it is illegal for women to wear pants. (okay. no problem for me.)
  2. The only state that has an english only law in public schools. (i think i’m liking this state more and more every day.)
  3. In Glendale, it is illegal to drive a car in reverse. (if you’re driving your car in reverse, you’ve got bigger problems than breaking a traffic law.)
  4. A decree declares that anyone caught stealing soap, must wash himself with it until it is all used up. (good to know. i’ll make sure it’s a pleasant scent.)
  5. You could get up to 25 years in prison for cutting down a cactus. (that narrows down my search for houses.)
  6. If you commit a misdemeanor while wearing a red mask, it is considered a felony. (…so make sure it’s a black one.)
  7. It is illegal to take naked photographs before noon on Sunday. (no problem. i don’t get up before noon on sunday’s anyway.)
  8. In Nogales, an ordinance prohibits the wearing of suspenders. (i hope this doesn’t give people the impression that they can just let their pants droop. *shudder*)
